Gavin had a special treat on his flight back from CT with his Grammy. The pilot invited him into the cockpit to see the flight deck. Doesn't Captain Gavin look pretty comfortable behind the wheel!?! Thanks Southwest Airlines!

Happy Birthday America!
Happy Fourth of July! We had a fun day being in DC on the 4th for the first time. We watched the Capitol Hill parade in the morning, met the Noggles at the pool for lunch and an afternoon swim, and then trekked down towards the Capitol to watch the fireworks. Gavin was mesmerized (or just plain tired) during the 17 minute fireworks spectacular. We had a nice view of the Washington Monument near a House Office building. It was a great way to celebrate America's 233rd birthday!
