Gavin's Gold Medal Moment

Gavin and Rob got to meet gold medalists Steve Holcomb of the four man bobsled and speed skater Shani Davis today. Gavin told them how much he liked watching the Olympics and that the luge was his favorite event.

Hmm, how can I drive this sled out of here.

Charlottesville Getaway

Last weekend, we escaped DC for a little getaway in Charlottesville. We went to one of Rob's former rowers Senior Art Show on Friday night, hit the farmers market on Saturday morning, and then did a little climb to Stony Man Overlook on Saturday afternoon. It was lots of fun!

Gavin is quite the rock climber these days!

Gavin found a fun hiding place along the trail.

Look at Me! I'm Sitting Up!

Molly is sitting up all by herself these days! She's still a little wobbly, but it won't be long until she's more sure of herself!

Go Duke!

Rob was all smiles after Monday night's Men's NCAA Championship. He dressed the kids in full Duke gear on Tuesday to celebrate. He even managed to take these photos all by himself. I guess that he figured this UConn fan might not be too helpful.

White House Easter Egg Roll 2010

Gavin attended the White House Easter Egg Roll today with Uncle Drew. He had fun hunting for and dying Easter eggs.

They even made it on to the White House lawn in time to hear the First Family give their welcome remarks! So cool!
And, they got to see President Obama's motorcade on its way to the Nationals Park where the President threw out the first pitch of the season this afternoon. Of course, the Nats lost 11-1 to the Phillies. Phew, it could be a long season!

Drew reports that Gavin found four eggs this year. It has to be an improvement over last year, but only Uncle Jon will be able to verify.

That egg doesn't look like it will fit in your basket, Gavin!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! We had another Easter egg hunt this morning with Grammy, Auntie Laura, Auntie Jill, and Uncle Drew in our backyard. Gavin did a great job finding all the eggs with a little encouragement.

Molly had more polka dots in her wardrobe today. She's also happy to sport her patent leather mary janes these days. Such a fashion queen!

Besides eggs, the Easter bunny brought Gavin a tee ball set. One of the many bonuses of city living, it won't be too difficult to hit a home run in our backyard!

Auntie Laura and I baked Easter cookies on Friday. We used Grandma Sack's cutout cookie recipe. They were a huge hit all around. Thanks for sharing the recipe, Katie and Sarah!

Early Easter Egg Hunt!

We had a great time hunting for Easter eggs this morning with our friends at the George's house. Thanks so much for your wonderful hospitality, Rachel, Tim and Kate!

Gavin looked very serious as he checked the perimeter for the eggs reportedly containing candy and chocolate.

Even Molly managed to find an egg to chew (or maybe drool) on!
