Back to DC! (Part 2)

On Saturday, we had bluebuck pancakes at Eastern Market.  They were worth the wait in line and every bit as good as we remembered!  Yum!

We also caught up with Gavin's buddy, Jack, and the rest of the Ruckert family.  The boys picked right up where they left off.  They cheered mightily for Teddy, but he still wasn't able to squeak out a win over the other Presidents.

Auntie Jill and Uncle Drew were our very gracious hosts for the weekend.  It was so fun to visit with them.  We can't wait to return!

We even squeezed in a playdate with our friends, the Noggle's and George's, before leaving for our drive back to Ohio.  The kids had a great time running around before the long trip back!

Back to DC! (Part 1)

Last week, we visited our old stomping grounds in DC.  We visited many of our favorite places.

We started our adventure with an afternoon at the zoo.  On our drive from Ohio, we decided that we wanted to see the orangutans, pandas, and elephants.  We checked them all of off our list!

We spent the next day doing some sightseeing on the Mall.  We visited some exhibits at the museums and had a great lunch in the Sculpture Garden at the Art Museum.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!  Or, as the kids have been saying, "Hoppy Easter!"

We had a fun Easter egg hunt in our backyard before church on Sunday.  As you can see by the action shots below, the kids really got into it.

We even had a visit from Uncle Jon and his girlfriend, Tanya, this weekend.  What a special treat!

P.S. I just discovered that this new version of blogger allows you to view the photos in a slideshow if you click on any of the photos above.  The advantage is that the photos are larger and easier to view.  Enjoy!
