Let's play ball!



Gavin's tee ball team had their first game today.  The Kilgour Mustangs held their own against those kids from Cardinal Pacelli!

After I missed practice on Monday, I received the following e-mail from another parent:

 

If Rob hasn't told you...

Gavin made a play tonight when he was pitcher that was the best of the game. Seriously, he reached down and caught the ball like he'd been doing it all his life, then he just snapped it home. It was soooooooo good!
 

So fun to hear that his love and skill for the game are clicking!

Meeting Sadie!

Last weekend, we had the thrill of meeting our newest Shea-McCracken cousin, Sadie Hepp McCracken.  And boy, did she steal all our hearts!

Molly was so excited hold and cuddle with little Sadie.  Sadie was very patient with all of Molly's hugs, snuggles and kisses.  These two girls are going to be best buds!

 



Gavin snuck in a little snuggle time with Sadie when Mother Molly wasn't looking!

He also had a chance to catch up with his buddy, Jack, from DC!  These two are somehow forever connected in the cosmos!  They both wear No. 11 on their tee ball teams, which just happens to be Ryan Zimmerman's number!  Go Nats!



Cincinnati Reds Parade

Gavin's teeball team was invited to Great American Ballpark to parade around the field before the Reds played the Nats on Opening Weekend.

Molly is looking like quite the little Reds fan these days.  She's also picking up some good ball skills watching teeball practice on Monday nights.

Go UConn or Go Duke!

Back in March, Mallory visited Cincinnati.  We got to see the UConn Huskies play UC during her visit. 

  

Mallory didn't return home cheering for UConn.  Instead, she was cheering "Go Duke" whenever she saw basketball on TV. As you can imagine, this really bothered her daddy and grandpas.

 

  Uncle Rob was so pleased that he sent Mallory a Duke t-shirt in hopes that she'd cheer them to victory in the NCAA tournament!  It wasn't meant to be, but she'll be ready for next year!  Go Duke!
